fig 0.2 A gradual sample space for each pause and inexistence ("shutter") pulsed from the Reality Lag Machine per second as the designated oscillation rate.
Negative waves are foundational opposites of mass and energy—essentially their reversed states. These negative waves cause a fundamental cancellation against mass and energy (also known as quantum waves) which makes anything and everything cease to exist on the quanta plane that make up reality once they encounter each other on it. When both negative waves and quantum waves pass from each other after cancellation, reality would subsequently exist again.
Now imagine this instance with spontaneous, continuous negative waves canceling reality repeatedly at high speeds: to the observer's eyes, any motion within the radius of the conoid propulsor2 would seem to lag at high "shuttering" speeds—delaying time, space, and reality to persist in existence. In truth, the negative waves are, in a literal sense, deleting reality as we know it by canceling mass and energy. But since mass and energy persist through existence as endless quantum waves, reality reemerges anew. That is if the quantum waves can keep up with the output of negative waves.
For convenience, we are using negative hertz (NHz) as a unit to measure negative wave outputs.

Asset 86, unofficially the Reality Lag Machine, is a powerful, manually operated wave propulsor capable of "deleting" reality, or causing it to cease to exist, with oscillating negative waves strong enough to interfere with the base nature of everything, temporarily ceasing everything to exist before subsisting to normal reality again, then ceasing existence once more in a rhythmic pattern in response to the propulsor's designated negative wave output, essentially deleting time and space. At the same time, it reemerges into existence through mass and energy or quantum waves.
The intensity of delays between deletion and reemergence increases the higher the NHz is, prolonging inexistences between each deletion and reemergence, thus resulting in even more delay. Theoretically, with a powerful enough negative wave output, the permanent cessation of reality—and by extension—existence, and everything, is possible.
Asset 86 is powered by a negative wave source called "Cataclysm Nucleus",3 an outbursting and levitating plasmic-like spheroid core of extremely densified negative waves encased within a tesseract structure made of an unknown, durable translucent material.
The remarkably difficult procurement of such a source of the negative waves is still unknown to most staff and personnel of Backrooms Robotics, with strict corporate bounds to its origin. The nucleus is stored within a superlatively densified and pressurized stasis chamber4 behind the conoidal ring at the back of the wave propulsor, negative waves are then sifted thoroughly through a large pipe located at the bottom of the propulsor (see fig 1.1) where most of the energy coming from each oscillation of the propulsor comes from.
The engine above this pipe mostly limits NHz outputs so as not to overuse and overheat the asset, and the rest of the mechanisms are automatic cooling systems for when necessary predicaments arise.
In order to test the capabilities of Asset 86, PROJECT LEAD has put in effect extensive testing procedures for the device.
