IMPORTANT B.N.T.G. NOTICE

Due to very popular demand for the original Object 56, The B.N.T.G. is going to be releasing a document which will be referred to as “The Unofficial Backrooms Cookbook,”. Unfortunately, the book was severely damaged when it came into our possession, and therefore had a very limited number of recipes. Despite this, we have decided to open a collaborative document for wanderers to submit their very own recipes to this unofficial cookbook. The M.E.G. has provided us a space here on their database to store these said recipes. If one wishes to submit a recipe, a template has been attached below to use in order to make your page. We hope this supplementary document helps out wanderers who are yearning for more recipes than Object 56 provides. We have provided a starter recipe for example and to get the fire started, but all other recipes will be submitted by various other wanderers. Please dm Natedagreat563Natedagreat563 with any questions. Bon appetit, and happy writing!

Braniac Tiramisu

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of strong coffee or espresso from The Snackrooms
  • 6 Tbsp of rum from The Terror Hotel Casino
  • 40 pieces of Braniac candies
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 16 oz of Lucky O’ Milk based mascarpone (plain or choco flavor)
  • 2 cups cold Lucky O’ Milk based heavy whipping cream
  • 2-3 Tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Shaved chocolate for the topping

1: Combine half of the rum and coffee in a bowl. Quickly dip each piece of candy in the coffee mixture one at a time in a large glass dish. Do NOT soak the candies. Only do a very quick dip or else they will collapse.

2: In a separate glass bowl, combine the yolks and sugar. Whisk for 10 minutes, or until the mixture is light and not grainy, in a double boiler over low heat. Remove the bowl from the heat and whisk for an additional 2 minutes to prevent solidification of the eggs and set aside to cool.

3: In another bowl, combine the mascarpone and the other half of the rum with the electric mixer. Slowly add in the egg mixture while beating until it’s fully incorporated.

4: In another bowl, beat the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Carefully fold the cream into the mascarpone mixture one scoop at a time until it’s fully incorporated. Do not over-mix or it will become grainy.

5: Spread half of the cream over the first layer of candies. Dip the remaining candy and top with the cream mixture. Dust with cocoa powder and shaved chocolate and refrigerate overnight.

Cleansing Soda

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of chemicals found in side rooms of Level 621
  • 1 cup seltzer
  • 1 cup Almond Water
  • 1/2 cup sugar

1: Distill the chemicals from Level 621. This can be done with a relatively rudimentary system, so long as you have a container for the undistilled chemicals, one for the distilled chemicals, and a slanted upper surface to collect the vapor and let it condense over the collection container. Sticks or wallpaper work well for starting the fire, though be sure to do so where it is safe. Alternatively, it is possible to find functional equipment for this purpose in certain levels, such as Science classrooms in Level 52. Be sure to wear gloves while doing so if possible and avoid skin contact until fully distilled.

2: Simmer the distilled chemicals and sugar until syrupy. At this stage, the chemicals' effect will now only cause callusing and mild skin irritation and are short-term, though it is still recommended to avoid direct contact with it until it is fully mixed into the soda.

3: Thoroughly mix the seltzer and Almond Water, then add the syrup and stir until it is liquified.

Comments:

Due to a general lack of access to dental hygiene necessities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and mouthwash within The Backrooms, it can be difficult to maintain hygienic practices and prevent tooth decay. Thankfully, the solution of chemicals and Almond Water in this beverage is perfect for not only hardening and strengthening teeth, but treating mouth burns as well. Its unique taste is also quite appealing, and it can be colored with common food coloring for special occasions.
